Research Degree

Many UK universities offer research facilities leading to the award of MPhil (usually two years) and PhD degrees (minimum 3 years). These timings can sometimes be extended, with permission.

Applications from suitably qualified students must be accompanied by a detailed Research Proposal, laying out objectives in a clear and concise manner. Reference should be made to existing work in the chosen field such that differentiation is quite clear and justified as to the student’s proposal.

There are a limited number of research places in any university at any one time, so competition is fierce. OPDS is able to advise you and offer assistance with your application, including making specific enquiries for research places.
